I purchased the soundtrack when this movie came out in 1984, but I never really saw the complete movie. When it was on TV, I always seemed to accumulate the last half-hour. Luckily, I was able to rep a modern VHS copy, and I must say it’s one of my favourite movies in my collection. It stars Lucinda Dickey as an up & coming dancer who befriends two breakdancers (Adolpho Quinones & Michael Chambers) who fight for the respect of the dance community to regain rupture dancing taken as a serious art beget. The soundtrack is serene immense after all of these years, and the tale is total ’80s “breakploitation”. Even though it has been criticized for being total trash, and plagued with terrible acting, honest remember that this movie was the starting vehicle for all the actors eager. I never found the acting THAT Terrible. It’s a movie that will WOW you with solid jams, and hype mid-’80s fashion, plus lots of high energy breakdancing and other forms of novel dance that invent the film titillating & tantalizing. I was lucky to win a novel VHS copy of this movie, but it would be nice if it was available on DVD in North America. In conclusion, if you really like ’80s movies, then this one will not disappoint.
Do not rent or steal this movie if you are looking for a movie with a strong status line or decent acting. Both of these items are magnificent grand nonexistent.

There is really no sense in trying to define the set line to this movie, mainly because it only takes up about 20 minutes of this 86-minute movie. The rest of the movie involves the characters dancing (mostly demolish dancing to be trusty) . To be unprejudiced, the tale actually gets in the contrivance of the dancing (never plan I would say that about a movie) .
Okay, if the account line isn’t worth talking about and the acting is glowing powerful non-existent, then why the 4-star rating? Because of the dancing. This is one of those movies where the yarn and the acting don’t really matter. For those of us with no dance talent, these dance moves will leave your mouth wide start. And any movie that can successfully do that is worth a high rating.
